Greetings dear readers!
Let me tell you about the newest trend I’ve been unintentionally rocking lately: bite mark chic! My fashion-forward 11-month-old has decided that my shoulders and arms are the ideal teething toys. And while I certainly won’t be gracing any runways with my mottled blue and purple patterns, I wear them as a proud (if somewhat pained) badge of motherhood.
Now, don’t get me wrong, as much as I might jest, I know my little munchkin isn’t trying to turn me into a snack. Teething is tough business! Those little gums are working overtime to pave the way for a dazzling smile. And trust me, those baby teeth are no joke. They’re sharp, they’re relentless, and they’re on a mission to break through.
Luckily, there’s a glimmer of hope on the horizon. Each day, the biting seems to be lessening. Maybe it’s because we’re communicating more, or perhaps those new teeth are finally settling in. Either way, I’m thrilled to see progress, even if it means I’ll soon need a new excuse for my ‘interesting’ arm patterns.
So here’s a shoutout to all the parents whose babies are going through the teething phase. Hang in there! Before we know it, these tiny terrors will be munching on solid foods and giving our arms a much-needed break. Until then, I’ll be over here, investing in some long-sleeved shirts and cherishing every toothy grin! 😊
Stay bite-free,
Mary
